Shades of Love

‘Shall we’
‘Yeah we must. But…… does this place seem suitable for rehearsing, haan sweetie?’
‘Of course! There can’t be a place better than this.’
She closed her eyes and gave a smile, ‘In happiness & in sorrow, in richness & in scarcity, in sickness & in health, in goodness, and in wickedness' She looked at him mischievously, 'till sanity do us apart.'
'My Lady!' He gazed at her with affection, 'You are excellent with vows. Could you help me with mine?'
'Just keep looking at me, and that would be all.'
'I brought you here, but now you're stealing the moment.' his lips curved upwards, 'let's take a walk, while we make further considerations.'
'You always come here, don't you?' she asked.
‘Where else could I find my resort, but here? This graveyard may be a sign of end for many. But to me, this, ‘he signaled towards the grave’ inspires me for new beginnings. She is the reason, you & I are together.’ He took her hands in his.
‘Yeah’ she looked at the grave in gratitude, ‘When I arrived at this city, I knew no one. She held my hand when I was in despair. Though we had age-difference, yet we were like besties.’
‘Hmmm, and then.’ The leer emerged on his face.
‘I met you and held smitten. The magnetism in your face drew me towards you, no matter where I was. You were all over me; in my thoughts, in my heart, in my sleep, in my wake. In my every breath, it was you my love, it was you.’ Her face turned red.
‘Oh Patricia!’ He brought her closer. Their gaze was stuck looking at each other’s eyes. His right hand was on her waist, while the left hand held her back. Their lips came closer; she could feel his warmth that used to pull her closer, towards him. A sudden chirp of a bird flying nearby made her realize of the surroundings.
‘Move away, what will she think? Wait for the moment.’ Her hands caressed his grey hair.
'Why not, and it's our moment today. We have waited months for this and now, I have you; forever.' He pulled her closer to him.
'Easy tiger, now when the last obstacle is gone, we have all time to get cozy. By the way, where's the champagne.'
'Here!' the glasses were placed at their designated spot, 'how can I forget to bring, especially for this moment.' He filled their glasses.
'Is there anything that you haven't planned for?' She looked at him in awe.
'Just once; YOU.' He raised the glass in cheer and then took a gulp.
'Careful, you spilled on it, what she will think.' She smiled cunningly.
'It's just a grave my dear, the bitch's gone, for months. Everything that belonged to her is now ours, CHEERS!'
They came closer, their lips met, followed by a passionate smooch. Love was in the air, while loyalty was buried two yards below ground, in his wife’s form.
